WSAZ Weather Cam: Winter Weather Pattern Continues

As we head into the new week, WSAZ viewers can expect a continued winter weather pattern in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. While temperatures will remain cold, with single-digit lows and sub-zero wind chills, there are signs that things may start to change by next Monday.

Currently, Saturday is expected to be a repeat of what we're seeing today - flurries ending in the morning and temperatures staying cold despite breaking afternoon clouds. This system also looks like it could bring significant snowfall, affecting Friday's weather as well.

However, before we can expect any thoughts of springtime, our next system will move in on Thursday night. Thursday itself is expected to be a bit of a respite, with temperatures trying to make a run through the 30s in the afternoon.

We do turn the corner a bit tomorrow afternoon, thanks to bright sunshine returning. Expect more problems getting out and about tomorrow morning, with single-digit temperatures and sub-zero wind chills keeping snow in place.

As skies break this afternoon, temperatures will already be headed back down toward the coldest weather we've seen in years. In fact, both Charleston and Huntington received more snow yesterday than they saw all last season combined! Temperatures have remained in the teens and 20s, so don't expect any melting off untreated secondary roads today.
